  • Laser welding has applications in virtually every industry, as it offers numerous benefits including fast welding speeds, short weld cycles, low heat affected zones, and minimal distortion. Laser welding is a fast and efficient non-contact method of joining dissimilar metals, requiring access to the weld area from one side only. High quality spot and seam welds are achievable for both shallow and deep penetration applications. Whether shallow penetration welds or deep welds, the heat affected zones and overall heating of the components are far less than with plasma or arc welding processes.

    Laser welding machines are used extensively in the manufacture of implantable medical devices and other medical components. Medical implants require smooth hermetic welds, which a laser welding machine can reliably and consistently deliver.

    Welding and cutting cylindrical parts

    Non-contact laser welding

    This video illustrates the benefits of non-contact laser welding, as we are welding Nickel battery contacts in a battery pack after it has been assembled; this is not possible with conventional contact welding processes.
